Antoninus Pius Alexandria Drachm, Reign 138 -161 AD

Antoninus Pius succeeded Hadrian. He kept many of Hadrian's policies in place. The Zodiac series from Alexandria celebrates a new era in the Egyptian religion with a new star. The zodiac cycle appears to be indicative of the past events in Judea under Hadrian, i.e. the Bar Kochba revolt.. The ram is looking back on the Greek god of war Ares. The Star is now above the head of the ram.
