Our Lady of Guadalupe, the post Roman world, anti-slavery icon

1. MARY IS THE STAR WITHIN THE CRESCENT.

This website describes the star and crescent icon as being symbolic for solar eclipses during the Roman Empire. A bishop of Constantinople later said Mary was the star within the crescent. Obviously Mary, the Mother of God took on Roman symbolism for the Moon and the Roman Empress. What was once a symbol of fear and terror in the Roman Legion Standard became a symbol of love and compassion for the colonization of the Western Hemisphere.

2. THE ROMAN EMPIRE WAS ABSOLUTE HELL FOR THE MAJORITY OF ITS PEOPLE

Lets forget about our Hollywood and modern perceptions of ancient Rome. Historical estimates place the percentage of the population in slavery up to 30-50%. The Roman economy was based on the consumption of people. The evils of industrial slavery on the Roman scale are incomprehensible to modern humanity. The port of Rhodes would process 10,000 slaves per day. The Roman army was the main instrument for the procurement of slave labor for the Empire. The sad exception to the New Testament is not seeing a chapter devoted specifically to the abolishment of this evil institution. It is likely that if you spoke out against slavery in the time of Jesus you would have been crucified immediately. The Romans waged several costly wars against slave rebellions and to be accused of starting one would have brought the most severe penalties even against its own citizens. It is obvious that the teachings of Jesus and the New Testament are against slavery. Mary witnessed Roman slavery of her people firsthand. The Roman legion standard was the symbol of Roman conquest and slavery for the ancient world. It is no coincidence Jesus desired to change this symbol into the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

3. THE FIRST JEWISH REBELLION SAVED THE ROMAN EMPIRE

Jewish historians have written much on the heroism of the Jewish rebellion against Rome from 66-73 AD. It really was an ongoing series of small rebellions from the time of Jesus Christ (6BC-33AD). The Roman Empire became fractionated under incompetent emperors. Caligula, Nero, and even Nero's mother under Claudius created such discord that it led to the Roman Civil War of 67 AD. Remember the Jewish Revolt was initially successful and destroyed the Roman XII legion. If the Jews had not rebelled, Vespasian would have not been able to become the Roman Emperor. Alexandria would not have been under his control and he would have not controlled the food supply to Rome. Additionally the spoils from the conquest of Judea supplied Vespasian with ample funds to consolidate the Empire after its civil wars. If Rome would have continued to degenerate after the civil wars following Nero, there is no doubt the world would have been very different today. Our society may have been based on ancient Israel.

The "New World" was being formed by European Monarchies into a New Roman Empire in 1531 AD. We see the intervention through Our Lady of Guadalupe at this critical time in world history. As a result of this image , the Aztecs experienced physical healing from the diseases of the Europeans and most importantly a mass revolt against Spain failed to materialize. Again if the Aztecs would have revolted the New World may have been formed in the image of the Roman Empire. Note again the effect of Our Lady of Fatima on preventing the New Roman Empire of Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia from spreading.

4. LOOK AT THE REAL IMAGE OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE TO APPRECIATE THE TRUE MESSAGE

Before I started this website several historians told me the Romans ignored solar eclipse events. Well if you really believe this statement please stop and send your membership dues to the "Flat Earth Society."

Please look at the face of "Our Lady" above. I see the left parotid gland enlarged, symbolic for mumps. Smallpox lesions are grouped on her face. Left brow trauma is present. If you look at her eyes, tears are present. This is what the Aztecs endured under Spanish/Roman occupation. Clearly not what has been presented in artistic renditions. Unfortunately the Catholic Church has a long history of not presenting the image for what it actually is. Mary is suffering with humanity, as her Son Jesus did. Jesus got his humanity from Mary. His humanity is what was required to be sacrificed for our salvation.

5. WHY WAS THE MESSAGE OF GUADALUPE SUPPRESSED?

Very simple, economics and greed. Think of modern slavery today. Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, money, sex, idols and power. Nothing has changed under the sun. Dear Lord Jesus, come soon.
